24th ASIAN-PACIFIC CONFERENCE ON INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTING ISSUES

About: The Twenty-Fourth Asian-Pacific Conference on International Accounting Issues will provide an important forum for the interaction of different ideas and information between academicians and practitioners, in order to enhance the understanding of international accounting and business issues in various countries. The best three papers will each be awarded US$500, to be selected by a panel of distinguished reviewers.  In addition, the best doctoral student paper will also be awarded US$500.
Deadline: All submissions must be received by May 14, 2012. Papers should be submitted in English.  Notification about the decision will be made by June 30, 2012.

SSHRC UPDATE

The Notification of Intent (NOI) to apply for an Insight Grant is now mandatory. The NOI form will be available on SSHRC’s website by mid-June.
NOIs must be submitted directly by the applicants to SSHRC via the online system by August 15th, 2012. An applicant who has not submitted an NOI by this date will be ineligible to submit the full application in the October 2012 competition.
In addition to basic information, an applicant must submit a one-page Summary of the Proposed Research. This Summary must include:
• the objectives of the research;
• the proposed methodology; and
• the anticipated significance and impacts of the proposed research.

Important Reminder

Keep track of your research accounts. Internal and external grant monies run the risk of being clawed back if not spent within designated timelines and for approved activities.
